Andre 3000 has been cast in the upcoming second season of the ABC drama American Crime. On the anthology series, the Outkast rapper will play Michael Lacroix, a prominent Midwest architect whose son gets embroiled in a scandal at an elite private school, The Hollywood Reporter writes. The drama's second season will also tackle gender issues and sexual identity. 'Jimi: All Is by My Side': Go Behind the Hendrix Biopic A veteran of films like Be Cool, Four Brothers, Idlewild and most recently Jimi: All Is by My Side, American Crime turn will mark Andre 3000's first reoccurring, non-voiceover TV role. American Crime was created by John Ridley, the Academy Award-winning screenwriter of 12 Years a Slave and director of Jimi: All Is by My Side, the Hendrix biopic that starred Andre 3000 as the guitar god. "Personally, I couldn't be more excited than to work again with Andre," Ridley told THR. "He is an amazing individual, a true artist, and All Is by My Side is one of the reasons I was given the reins on American Crime. Folks at ABC were absolutely moved by Andre’s performance in the film, and by the overall language of cinema we used in telling the story. It's fair to say American Crime might not exist were it not for our previous collaboration." American Crime's 11-episode first season, which premiered in March 2015, was nominated for 10 Primetime Emmys, including Outstanding Limited Series. The series – not to be confused with FX's upcoming American Crime Story series about the O.J. Simpson trial – will also star returning cast members Timothy Hutton, Felicity Huffman, Regina King and Lili Taylor in new roles. The Amity Affliction - Chasing Ghosts songtext

Will they remember my name when I'm gone,
(When they know what I did was so fucking wrong)
Put the steel to my wrist, lost the breath in my chest,
(Just to forget all the wrongs I had left)
I took the exit, left my friends in the gutter,
(Left my life right behind me, left myself, left it all)
Left myself, left it all, not a falter not a stutter
Not a note, and now?,
(There’s nothing at all)

(Are you at all haunted by memories past?
Are you ready to make this one breath your last?
Is your chest so heavy you're ready to leave,
Or are you hoping that some one will grieve?)

And now we roll on...
I'm gone now,I don't remember much,
I just know that I would have been better off if I had stayed,
spoken to a friend,
(let my heart keep on beating and not given it all up)
for the grave, for the grave
There's no one on the other side there's nothing more than what I had.
There's no ghost left to haunt you so you know I'm still here,
just the end of my life nothing left here at all.
(There's no memories here, just regrets of the dead),
please don't follow my footsteps - cherish all you have left.

(Are you at all haunted by memories past?
Are you ready to make this one breath your last?
Is your chest so heavy you’re ready to leave?
Or are you just hoping that someone will grieve?)

There's no one there on the other side,
(there's no one there on the other side)
There's nothing more than what I had.
(There's no ghost left to haunt you)

There's no memories here (memories here)
just the regrets of the dead (regrets of the dead)
please don't follow in my footsteps (my footsteps)
cherish all you have left.

(Are you at all haunted by memories past?
Are you ready to make this one breath your last?
Is your chest so heavy you’re ready to leave?
Or are you just hoping that someone will grieve?)
