Metal bands Behemoth and Dying Fetus both granted a late fan's dying wish by scattering his ashes during their recent live shows.
Loudwire reports that Behemoth frontman Adam Nergal Darski paid tribute to a deceased fan named Nick at the band's gig in Chicago on April 29.
Before playing his band's song 'Antichristian Phenomenon', Darski told the crowd: "I have never done this before. Our friend and massive Behemoth fan; his name was Nick. All I’ve got to say is, wherever you are, rest in peace, my friend." Watch footage of Nick's ashes being scattered at the gig below.
Meanwhile, Dying Fetus also scattered some of Nick's ashes from a test tube at their Chicago gig earlier this week (May 3).
The band posted on Facebook before the gig: "A Dying Fetus fan named Nick from Illinois recently passed away, and his wishes were to have his ashes scattered on stage at a Dying Fetus show, what do you think, should we do it?"
After the event, they posted an update, saying: "We just scattered Nicks' ashes in the pit for his favourite song, 'Homicidal retribution', may he rest in the pit".
